A multi-instrumentalist like no other, Chris Stephens has dedicated himself to learning traditional music from China, India, and the Middle East on a collection of historic instruments. Inspired by the history of the Silk Road, Chris plays the Chinese Pipa, Indian Sitar, Egyptian Oud, Iranian Tar, and Turkish Saz – all members of the lute family of instruments. Blending geography with music, and education with entertainment, Chris has been hosted by a wide variety of venues in his music career. He studied sitar under Ustad Imrat Khan.
