Pandit Shantanu Bhattacharyya is a much adored name in the world of Hindustani Raga Music. With a rare feat of topping in both Khayal and Thumri at the age of 20 in the All India Radio Music Competition; and the Top Grade from All India Radio at the age of only 43 years, Pandit Shantanu Bhattacharyya’s singing has been described by the greatest maestros of the country including his Guruma, the immortal Vidushi Meera Banerjee, as a true picture of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.

Initiated into music by his mother Smt. Ira Bhattacharyya; subsequently he came under expansive training from Late Pandit Prasun Banerjee and Late Vidushi Meera Banerjee; the doyens of Patiala gharana. He went ahead to study also with Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty as a scholar at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata.

Pandit Shantanu Bhattacharyya has sung at the Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan, Allauddin Khan Smriti Samaroh, Sangeet Natak Akademi Festival, ITC Sangeet Sammelan, Gururao Deshpande Sangeet Samaroh, West Bengal State Music Academy Conference, VSK Baithak, Sangeetalok Conference, Spirit of Unity Concert, All India Radio National Programme of Music and Akashbani Sangeet Sammelan; among many others.

His performances have been highly applauded in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Toronto; as well as at various venues in England, France, Italy, Finland, Germany, Australia and Singapore.

His significant contributions include conducting of music workshops at schools all over the world, numerous ensemble compositions in Ragas, articles in journals and books, compositions of devotional songs and meditation music, released in CDs.

Pandit Ashis Sengupta is a renowned Tabla player from Banaras Gharana. Initially started under the guidance of his father Shri Ranjit Kumar Sengupta, he later on became the disciple of Pandit Nanku Maharaj and Pandit Mahapurush Mishra of Banaras Gharana. He is an accomplished Tabla player and author of two books on Tabla.

A recipient of ‘Taal Mani’ Award, recently Pandit Ashis Sengupta has been awarded the Senior Fellowship by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India as an outstanding artiste of India.

Pandit Ashis Sengupta has accompanied almost all the leading artistes of yesteryears and present time in vocal, instrumental and dance forms and he has played at almost all the major festivals in India and abroad both as a soloist and accompanist. At present he is working as a member of the Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, University of Delhi.

Smt. Durba Bhattacharyya is highly talented Vocalist and a Harmonium player of India. She had her initial Vocal music training from her mother Smt. Tapati Banerjee. After that she had a brief stint of training with Mazhar Ali Khan, grandson of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, the celebrated genius of Patiala Kasur style, subsequently took the charge of her taalim and tutored her to perfection, while she was a scholar at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata. Durba then obtained more guidance from Vidushi Meera Banerjee, doyen of the Patiala Kasur style. Since 1997, Durba has been taking taalim of the subtlest nuances of Raga music from Pandit Shantanu Bhattacharyya.
