A daughter of a dancer mother and learned philosopher & Kriya Yogi father (Grihi  Sanyasi), Sanchita has inculcated the ethos and training of dance from an early age. Her real blooming in Odishi dance happened under the able  tutelage of a pioneer Guru of Odissi, Padmashri Guru Maya Dhar Raut. Sanchita also received blessings and some tutelage from Padmabibhushan Guru Kelu Charan Mahapatra.

Sanchita has performed in the major venues worldwide and locally at Unison Learning Center, the Kleinert James and Vassar College.
