Santoor – Vinay Desai   

Vinay received knowledge in vocal/harmonium/tabla from Shafiq Rahman in his teens. In 2011, with blessings and direct guidance of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Vinay began his studies under Takahiro Arai and Dhananjay Daithankar. He later moved back to the USA to learn from Kunal Gunjal. To expand his knowledge in music, Vinay has learnt from different teachers such as the late Pandit Ramesh Mishra, Parthasarathi Chatterjee and Jay Gandhi.

He currently resides at Shanti Mandir, Walden, NY where he continues his studies and performs.

Sandip Ghosh

He will be accompanied on tabla by Sandip Ghosh. Pt. Gobinda Bose was his first teacher of tabla. Later on he came under the supervision of internationally renowned artist Pt. Anindo Chatterjee with whom he has been taking studying for the last 18 years.

As a performer, Sandip has performed all over the globe and has accompanied several globally distinguished artists like Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty, Udstad Shahid Parvez, Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia and more.
