DESCRIPTION:\n\nphoto by Lois Greenfield\n     The Vanaver Caravan will 
 present an evening of World Dance &amp\; Music at the Ashokan Center durin
 g a weekend celebration of the 50th Birthdays of the International Communi
 ty of Auroville in India and Matagiri in Mount Tremper (www.matagiri.org/e
 vents).\n\n     The concert will include percussive dance with Joel Han
 na (long time Company member and world renowned step dancer) and special g
 uests from Rajasthan\, India with whom we have a cultural exchange.  It w
 ill be a colorful\, multi-ethnic event alight with the joy of discovery.\n
 \n     The evening will include participatory dancing for everyone.  P
 roceeds will benefit The Vanaver Caravan's "SummerDance on Tour" program w
 hich offers scholarship to children in need to study with these world clas
 s teachers every summer.\n\n     The Vanaver Caravan is a non profit or
 ganization 501 (c) (3) committed to creating peace in the world through th
 e arts and cultural awareness.\n\nSuggested Donation at the door: $15 adul
 ts\, $10 16 years and under.​ Please come early to park so we can start
  at 7:30 pm.
