DESCRIPTION:\nRadhika Samson trained under the guidance of the late world-r
 enowned Hansaveena (slide guitar) maestro Pandit Barun Kumar Pal\, a senio
 r disciple of Bharat Ratna Pt. Ravi Shankar. Barun played often at Matagir
 i and was a revered teacher at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram Delhi Branch.\nRad
 hika attended classes on Indian classical music at the Ravi Shankar Instit
 ute of Music and Performing Arts established in New Delhi. She has perform
 ed at several prestigious platforms/festivals in India and abroad\, and he
 r concerts have been appreciated by audiences and critics alike. \nRadhik
 a is currently faculty of Sitar at Sadhana School of Music\, Dance and Art
 s\, New Delhi. She is also training several young talents in traditional I
 ndian classical music at The Mother's International School\, Sri Aurobindo
  Ashram\, Delhi. As a dedicated and devoted artist she wishes to carry for
 th this rich tradition with sincere commitment. \nAfter being initiated f
 ormally into the oldest form of Hindustani Classical Music through the Sur
 bahar\, the bass sitar\, she is currently teaching Odissi dance and Indian
  Classical music in New York at Chhandayan. She will be joined by Ramanan 
 Venkatraman\, another senior student of our dear departed Barun Kumar Pal.
 \nRamanan will play a meditative series of unaccompanied ragas on the Hans
 a Veena\, the instrument based on the slack key lap slide guitar. Ravi Sha
