 a belonging to Rampur Senia Gharana.  Sahana was born in a family of rich
  musical heritage and was readily recognized as a child prodigy at an earl
 y age of four. Her father Prof. Santhosh Banerjee\, was a celebrated Sitar
  &amp\; Surbahar player of India and former Head of the Department of Inst
 rumental Music of Rabindra Bharati University\, in Calcutta. \nSahana’s
  unique presentation reflects the traditional Veenkar Dhrupad Style of Ram
 pur Senia Gharana. She is a Grade ‘A’ artist of All India Radio and Na
 tional Television and has been giving recitals since 1995. \nIn 1990\, sh
 e won the Pandit Nikhil Banerjee Challenge Trophy at the Dover Lane Music 
 Conference and was conferred the Best Instrumentalist award.  \nSahana w
 ill be accompanied on tabla by Keshava Kaarthikeyan\, a child prodigy who 
 studied under Ustad Zakir Hussain\, Pt. Yogesh Samsi and Ray Spiegel.\nTIC
