 rformers. His mastery of complex rhythms and playful “dialogues” make 
 his concerts a true delight. Tarun was chosen by Ravi Shankar to perform o
 n his “Chants of India” album produced by George Harrison.\nThe concer
 t will feature a Sitar prelude by Diana Waldron\, a student of Roop Verma.
  It will end with a Sitar postlude featuring Shraman Sen with Ucchal Baner
 jee\, tabla.  Shraman is a student of Ustad Irshad Khan and studied with 
 Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan as well.\nSouth Indian Mridangam performance and 
 accompaniment by Ramesh Srinivasan and Sathya Ramesh.\n\n\n\nThe concert i
 s a benefit for Santoor Ashram\, Kolkata\, a project to bring music to dis

 in Los Angeles with an eye on spreading Indian Classical Music to the US.
